On site board meetings

DEMHIST LogoDEMHIST board members gather once a year for an on-site board meeting, providing a valuable opportunity to discuss the most pressing issues in person, take strategic decisions for the future of DEMHIST, and strengthen ties within the global community of historic house museums.

On-site board meetings are essential moments for the DEMHIST board, bringing members together to reflect on the major debates shaping the future of ICOM and the historic house museum sector. These gatherings allow for in-depth discussions that go beyond the limits of virtual meetings, creating space for strategic thinking, collaborative planning, and the exchange of ideas that shape the direction of DEMHIST.

These in-person sessions also offer the opportunity to visit and connect with DEMHIST Houses around the world, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by our members. It is a chance to engage directly with local contexts, strengthen ties with other ICOM committees, and build lasting professional networks.

While the board meets online at least once a month to ensure regular communication and continuity, the annual on-site meeting remains a cornerstone of our work, reinforcing the connections that make DEMHIST a dynamic and supportive global community.
